Alice Shiyuan Guo

Alice Shiyuan Guo is a Chinese cinematographer based in London, with a particular focus on analogue cinematography.

Having worked in camera and lighting departments since 2022, she brings both technical experience and creative sensitivity to her work. A graduate of the London Film School, she has collaborated on productions across different countries, cultures and genres.

Alice approaches cinematography as a way of expressing what cannot always be communicated through words. She is drawn to the relationship between light, colour, space and human emotion, seeking images that feel both intentional and instinctive.

Her passion for motion picture film lies not only in its distinctive textures and aesthetic qualities, but also in the craft and discipline behind the medium. She is committed to continually deepening her technical knowledge of photochemical filmmaking while exploring its expressive possibilities as a storytelling tool.

Looking ahead, Alice aims to make shooting on celluloid a defining part of her practice as a cinematographer, bringing together technical precision, artistic intuition and a deeply personal approach to visual storytelling.
